There are no. of reported issues and bugs are fixed in this release. Some users reported issues with post date format, the imported date get replaced for all published date set for every post to 1970-0-0 00:00 https://wordpress.org/support/topic/post_date-is-not-working. This was evaluated and a fix was updated with 3.6.5. Users may report if this issue exist even after updating the plugin. At the same time we need our users to add more details to understand and reproduce the issue, which help us to find a solution or work around. We really need to thank some of our wordpress users those who stand with us and helped us to find the cause of issues. Some even helped us with source to identify the issue and provide a fix to community.
The default post_date format is in WordPress are “UTC time is 2014-10-24 4:35:22”. You can check in your WordPress general settings under Settings.
You should mention the date format like “YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS” or “YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS” in your CSV file. OtherWise, If you mention the date as “12-11-10 12:00:00” in format of “YY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS” (or) “MM-DD-YY HH:MM:SS” (or) “DD-MM-YY HH:MM:SS” means its automatically considered the first two digits as year like in the format of “YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS”. Then, the imported date will be like “2012-11-10 12:00:00”.
So, you have to mention the date correct as in WordPress default format. Here, I have attached the sample CSV & screenshots for the importer reports. Kindly check those and verify with the sample CSV.
More Issue Fixes in pipeline
There are more issues still need a fix which was not addressed in this version release. There was issue reported like conflict other plugin like Groups. Also a long known issue is about UTF-8 support not working for custom filed attributes. we found there should be a need of separate work around for this feature. So we made change in our plan to release it as with major release version.
There is a pro version release 3.6.6 is already available. You can check the new version new here.
