How to import Pages using WP Ultimate CSV Importer Latest Version

WP Ultimate CSV Importer Latest Version importing any no. of Pages is simple than Post import. Unlike Post, there are no taxonomies like category, tags for Pages. Instead of there are some page attributes like Template, menu order, parent etc. To import pages from CSV file select import -> Pages from the drop down menu.

As like Post, there are four options to upload your CSV file from various locations either remote or from localhost server.

Select anyone of the following options.

Upload file:

To upload Page CSV file from your PC/laptop use “upload file” option.

Upload using FTP:

To add files remotely from an FTP location, you can use this option. Provide essential FTP details such as host name, path, FTP username, FTP password and port number for FTP. By default, FTP port number is 21. Then click “Download” button to download the file from FTP server to a temporary location..

Upload from external link:

Provide the URL path of the CSV file where it is located and then click “Download” button to get the CSV file.

Choose file in the server:

You can also choose the CSV file from your server by selecting the file in the list of directory locations shown and then import.

 

Step 1: Click the “browse” button to upload the required Page CSV file from your PC and then click “import”.

Step2: Map the WP fields with CSV headers in the drop down menu.

Here some fields are automatically mapped because the WP header and CSV header has the same name. Otherwise, you should map manually. Make sure that the CSV headers are mapped to the correct field in the WordPress.

If you want to customize the CSV value for WP fields, click the corresponding static/dynamic or formula icon.

  • Specify the static/dynamic and formula content as WP field name within {}.
  • For static/dynamic, if you provide {post_status}, the value of post_status is assigned. Here several WP field name are concatenated by +.
  • For formula, our plugin supports basic arithmetic operators such as +, -, *, /, %. Specify the WP field name in {} and separated by operators.
  • Example, {product_quantity}/{product_discount}.
  • After the completion of mapping click “next” button.
  • The next page will give you the report of mapped fields, unmapped fields and total no. of records.
  • Click “proceed Import”.

There are two options. You can choose either “import right away” or “schedule now”

  • If you select “import right away” it will import immediately else select “schedule now” to import later. In this option you should give the details when you want to import this file by specifying schedule date, schedule time, schedule frequency.
  • “Detect duplicate post content” and “detect duplicate post title” option will detect duplicates and skip it from importing.
  • You can also mention the number of records that need to be imported on each request to the server in the ‘no of posts/rows per server request option’.To import selective records enable “import specific records only” and specify the records to be imported in the “specify the records here” with their row number (1-40,78,110-170).
  • You can use “Advance media handling” option to add inline images. The image should be in a zip file
  • Select “next”
  • Press “import now”
  • Wait until the page CSV file is imported successfully. If your page is imported successfully then that’ll display a message like “import successfully completed” at the top.

After successful completion, you can see the detailed log that is generated for every imported record. Unique record id is generated for every Page in the record.

  • You can verify by clicking “web view” or “admin view”.
  • “Web view” will show you the front end and “admin view” will show you the back end.
